This edition was unique due to extreme weather conditions, including heavy rain and thick fog, which led to a red flag that paused the race for several hours. Despite these challenges, the Falken Motorsports team showcased impressive skill and consistency on the demanding Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. The 2020 race was also notable for being held without spectators due to COVID-19 restrictions, creating an unusual and eerie atmosphere at the legendary "Green Hell."
