Automobili Lamborghini presents the Revuelto Impavido, a Japan-exclusive limited edition created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Lamborghini Japan. The 25 individually numbered cars pay tribute to the enduring relationship between Lamborghini and Japan through a bespoke interpretation of the Revuelto inspired by the spirit of Bushido: the Japanese code of honour characterised by courage, discipline and unwavering determination.
The name "Impavido," meaning "fearless" and "courageous" in Italian, draws on the Bushido inspiration and reflects Lamborghini's relentless pursuit of innovation, performance and excellence.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, confirmed: “The Revuelto Impavido perfectly embodies Lamborghini's ability to unite innovation with cultural inspiration. While the Revuelto represents our vision for the future of the super sports car, Impavido demonstrates how our Ad Personam programme can transform that vision into a unique expression of identity and craftsmanship. Inspired by the values of Bushido, this project celebrates the dialogue between Italian design excellence and Japanese culture, creating a vehicle that is both unmistakably Lamborghini and deeply rooted in the character of Japan. It is through collaborations such as this that we continue to push the boundaries of personalisation while remaining true to the values that define our brand.”
As Lamborghini’s first V12 High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV), the Revuelto combines the brand’s iconic naturally aspirated V12 engine with cutting-edge hybrid technology to deliver a total output of 1,015 CV. It represents a new benchmark in performance whilst upholding Lamborghini’s unmistakable V12 heritage.
Developed through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalisation programme, the Revuelto Impavido features an exterior livery inspired by key elements of samurai armour, reinterpreted through Lamborghini’s design language. Sharp, sculpted lines across the doors and rear bumper evoke the motion of a katana strike, symbolising precision, speed and controlled power, naturally aligned with Revuelto’s cutting-edge design. Golden accents throughout the body recall the odoshi, the silk cords binding samurai armour plates, which traditionally expressed identity, hierarchy and clan belonging.
The front end draws inspiration from the maedate, the crest mounted on a samurai helmet, symbolising status, identity and protection. Reinterpreted through Lamborghini’s design language, it gives the car a bold and assertive presence, reinforcing both power and individuality. Decorative elements on the roof and fenders reference the kozane, the lacquered plates of samurai armour. Reimagined through modern forms and textures, they enhance the sense of structure, precision and layered construction shared by both samurai armour and the Revuelto’s architecture.
The Lamborghini Revuelto represents a new era for Lamborghini, combining the brand’s legendary naturally aspirated V12 heritage with advanced electrified performance. Its 6.5-liter V12 engine works with three electric motors to produce an incredible 1,001 horsepower, delivering breathtaking acceleration while maintaining the dramatic sound and emotion expected from a Lamborghini flagship. Built around a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque and featuring advanced aerodynamics, the Revuelto offers exceptional handling and cutting-edge technology. What truly sets it apart from its competition is its ability to preserve the character of a traditional high-revving V12 supercar while embracing hybrid innovation, creating a rare blend of raw emotion, extreme performance, and future-focused engineering.
MR Collection scale models are widely regarded as some of the finest in the world of high-end automotive replicas, particularly for enthusiasts of supercars and hypercars.
Here’s why they stand out:
Exceptional Craftsmanship and Detail: MR Collection, based in Gerenzano, Italy, near Lake Como and Milan, is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail. Their models, primarily in 1:18 and 1:43 scales, are handmade using resin, which allows for sharper detailing compared to diecast models. For instance, their Ferrari 488 GTB in Dark Metallic Red (Vinnacia) has been praised for its stunning exterior paint, precise body lines, and high-quality materials, with features like photo-etched badges, perforated metal grilles, and detailed carbon fiber elements. The level of craftsmanship often makes these models appear as miniature works of art, capturing the essence of the real vehicles.
Exclusivity and Limited Editions: MR Collection models are produced in limited runs, often as few as 49 to 399 units worldwide, enhancing their collectible value. Each model comes with a warranty certificate that includes a handwritten production number and inspector’s signature, adding to the exclusivity. For example, the Ferrari 488 GTB reviewed was #32 of 49, and the LaFerrari Aperta was limited to 149 pieces. This rarity appeals to collectors seeking unique pieces.
Official Licenses with Premium Brands: As an official supplier for brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Pagani, Bentley, and others, MR Collection has access to precise design specifications, ensuring their models are highly accurate. Their partnership with Ferrari, in particular, means their models are often showcased at international motor shows, like the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. This official status ensures authenticity and fidelity to the real cars.
Innovative Features and Materials: MR Collection continually refines their models with advanced techniques, such as newly designed carbon fiber decals, cloth 4-point seat belts, Alcantara-effect interiors, and perforated seat textures, as seen in their LaFerrari Aperta. Their engine replicas, like the 3.9L V8 Twin Turbo in the Ferrari 488 GTB, feature intricate details such as photo-etched parts and textured intakes, setting a high standard for resin models.
Premium Presentation: The packaging is designed to enhance the collector experience, with models presented in red boxes lined with Alcantara-style fabric and displayed on bases with plexiglass covers. The Ferrari 488 GTB, for example, comes on an Alcantara base with the MR Collection logo, and the heavy, high-quality packaging adds to the premium feel.
Wide Range of Iconic Models: MR Collection offers a diverse catalog, including iconic vehicles like the Ferrari F80, Lamborghini Fenomeno, and Bugatti Chiron SuperSport 300+. Their focus on supercars and hypercars, combined with customization options through their Atelier program, allows collectors to own replicas tailored to specific configurations, such as the Ferrari 488 Spider in Blue Corsa or the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in Arancio Argos.
Collector Appeal and Investment Value: The combination of limited production, high-quality craftsmanship, and official licensing makes MR Collection models highly sought after. Reviews highlight their shelf presence and ability to capture the spirit of the real car, with models like the Lamborghini Egoista and Ferrari Daytona SP3 described as “stunning” and “yum” for their visual impact. While the price—often north of $700 USD—reflects the handmade quality and exclusivity, collectors often find the investment worthwhile for the niche they serve.
