This is the Ferrari 250 TR Pontoon-Fender Targa Florio 1958 SEFAC 3rd Place #102 Wv. Trips - M. Hawthorn in 1:18 scale by Tecnomodel.

The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Pontoon-Fender, entered by SEFAC Ferrari and driven by Wolfgang von Trips and Mike Hawthorn, secured 3rd place at the 1958 Targa Florio, one of the most demanding road races in motorsport history. Von Trips, a highly skilled German driver, and Hawthorn, the reigning Formula 1 World Champion, tackled the treacherous Sicilian mountain roads, filled with tight corners, elevation changes, and unpredictable surfaces. The 1958 edition was particularly competitive, with Ferrari battling fierce rivals like Porsche and Maserati. Despite the challenges, the duo’s podium finish highlighted both their skill and the 250 TR’s endurance, reinforcing Ferrari’s dominance in long-distance racing during the late 1950s.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are
exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production
processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the
industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used
for the most authentic replication.
