The Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI #6, driven by Italian ace Alessandro Nannini for Martini Alfa Corse during the 1996 International Touring Car Championship (ITC), was one of the most successful cars of the season. Nannini, a former Formula 1 driver, won seven ITC races and finished third in the championship with 180 points. The 1996 155 V6 TI was particularly remarkable for its 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 90-degree V6, producing approximately 490 hp at 11,900 rpm, combined with four-wheel drive, electronic differentials, ABS, traction control, and a six-speed semi-automatic transmission. Its ability to exceed 300 km/h (186 mph) while delivering explosive acceleration and sophisticated electronic control made the #6 a spectacular example of the highly advanced touring cars that defined the final DTM/ITC era.
