The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 #45, entered by DEX Wayne Taylor Racing, won the GTD class at the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, with Danny Formal and Trent Hindman sharing the driving duties. Formal, a Costa Rican GT racer, and Hindman, an accomplished American endurance driver, combined for a strategic victory after starting second on the grid. The Huracán GT3 EVO2 is particularly distinctive for its 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10, rear-wheel drive, aggressive aerodynamics, and roof-mounted air-intake system, while Lamborghini's GT3 design incorporates a pronounced rear wing and racing-specific bodywork to maximize downforce. The Laguna Seca victory was Lamborghini's first IMSA GTD win of 2026 and the 15th IMSA victory for the marque.
